Cameras Cut Crashes website
The Victorian Department of Justice are responsible for administering speed cameras throughout the state and raising public awareness of the purpose of Speed Cameras. The new Cameras Cut Crashes site to be released in 2010 is designed to debunk the common misconceptions about the program and provide and google map integration to display the location of all Victorian Speed Cameras.
The homepage features a flash banner with interactive speech bubbles displaying some of the more common myths that abound in relation to speed cameras. When the user rolls over one of these, the speech bubble flips over to reveal the facts in relation to that particular myth.
One of the goals of the redesign was to simplify the key messages into a straight forward information architecture. The structure of the site is divided into 3 simple sections; Speed, Cameras and Consequences.
